About The Author

I’m a husband, father, author, and business owner, and I’m passionate about seeing men step fully into their God given identity. I was born and raised in Southern California, shaped by skateboarding and days at the beach, before moving to Texas at nineteen — a move that became one of many pivotal turning points in my life.

As a kid, I came to know Christ at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa under Pastor Chuck Smith, right in the heart of what many now know from the film Jesus Revolution. I was baptized in the waters of Pirates Cove. But it wasn’t until many years later, after attending an event called Quest — an intensive 5 day men’s ministry event — that I truly encountered God in a way that moved me from a season of wandering to stepping boldly into my calling and purpose.

Life has taken me down roads I never expected. After losing a friend to suicide, I was thrust into a season of healing that sparked a passionate calling to walk with other men facing their own battles. Through serving in men’s ministry events, I’ve sat across from hundreds of men, hearing their struggles, hopes, and fears. What I’ve found is universal: men everywhere wrestle with the same insecurities, doubts, fears, and sin patterns — and isolation is often their greatest enemy.

I met my wife, Jaime, through my sister’s persistence — well, mine too. At first, Jaime was hesitant to go out with me, but by our second date I knew she was the woman I would marry. We have four children — two boys and two girls — and our family expanded suddenly when one of my best friends passed away, leaving behind two children I had promised to raise if anything ever happened to him. Keeping that promise, Jaime and I welcomed them into our home, and our lives changed in ways we never could have imagined.

Professionally, I’ve been self employed most of my life. That journey has taught me leadership, resilience, and the value of mentorship from men who have poured wisdom into my life. I serve on the board of a private foundation, where I direct significant financial resources into nonprofit organizations doing incredible work in Fort Worth. I also facilitate and lead men’s Quest events in Texas as a volunteer in ministry.

My book, Change on the Rise, was born out of the heartbreak and hope I’ve witnessed in my own life and in the lives of men I’ve walked alongside. Too many men are struggling, feeling defeated, or giving up altogether. Out of compassion — and frustration with what I saw happening around me — I sat down to gather years of notes, conversations, and lessons into one message: Men are not alone. They are made for more. Their lives matter deeply. It’s never too late to reclaim their hearts, fight for their families, and leave a legacy of faith, courage, and strength.

Today, I live in Fort Worth, Texas, with Jaime and our kids. My mission is simple: to encourage men everywhere to rise up, embrace their God given purpose, and live a life that truly matters.
