Josh Davis is a husband, father, author, entrepreneur, and is passionate about men stepping fully into their God-given identity. Born and raised in the suburbs of Los Angeles, California, Josh spent his early years shaped by Southern California culture including skateboarding and hanging out at the beach, before moving to Texas at age nineteen — a move that became one of many pivotal turning points in his life.
As a child, he came to know Christ at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa under Pastor Chuck Smith, in the heart of what many now know from the film “Jesus Revolution.” He was baptized in the waters of Pirates Cove, setting a lifelong foundation for faith. But it wasn’t until many years later, after attending an event called Quest — an intensive men’s ministry event — that he truly encountered God in a way that moved him from a season of wandering in the wilderness to stepping boldly into his calling and purpose.
Life has taken Josh down roads he never expected. After losing a friend to suicide, he was thrust into a season of healing, which sparked a passionate calling to walk with other men facing their own battles. Through serving on many men’s ministry events, Josh has sat across from hundreds of men, hearing their life stories, including struggles, hopes, and fears. What he’s found is universal: men everywhere wrestle with the same insecurities, doubts, fears and sin patterns — and that isolation is often the greatest enemy.
Josh met his wife, Jaime, through his sister’s insistence. Initially hesitant, Jaime eventually agreed to a date — and Josh knew by the second date she was the woman he would marry. Together, they have built a family marked by faith, commitment, and extraordinary circumstances. Josh and Jaime have four children — two boys and two girls. Their family expanded suddenly and unexpectedly when one of Josh’s best friends passed away, leaving behind two children who Josh had promised to raise as his own. Keeping his word, Josh and Jaime welcomed these children into their home, instantly changing their lives in ways they never imagined.
Professionally, Josh has been a life long entrepreneur, running a successful website development business that started from a hobby in high school. His entrepreneurial journey has shaped him profoundly, teaching him leadership, resilience, and the value of mentorship from highly successful individuals who have poured wisdom into his life. He also serves on the board of a private foundation, entrusted with directing significant resources into deserving organizations — a role he views as a high honor and responsibility to steward another man’s legacy.
His debut book, Change on the Rise, was born from witnessing countless men around him struggling, feeling defeated and some giving up. Driven by a deep frustration and even deeper compassion, Josh sat down to compile years of notes, conversations, and life lessons into one powerful message: Men are not alone. They are made for more. Their lives matter deeply — and it’s never too late to reclaim their hearts, fight for their families, and build a legacy of faith, courage, and strength.
Today, Josh lives with Jaime and their four children in Fort Worth, Texas, committed to encouraging men everywhere to rise up, embrace their God-given purpose, and live a life that truly matters.
