About Me

Welcome to Change on the Rise. My name is Joshua, and I’m passionate about helping men discover their identity, passion, and purpose as leaders and heads of their families, communities, and the Kingdom of God.

The battle of this world is over the hearts of men. It’s a battle as old as time itself — the enemy seeks to steal our identity, kill our passion, and destroy our hearts. But I’ve come to understand that God hasn’t called us to live as passive spectators in this fight. He’s called us to rise, to step boldly into the lives we were created to live, and to walk with courage, integrity, and purpose.

My journey has been shaped by experiences I never could have anticipated. From leading men’s ministry events and walking alongside men as they face their darkest valleys, to navigating my own challenges — like stepping into the role of raising children after the loss of a friend — I’ve seen firsthand the trials, triumphs, and transformative power of God’s grace. Through it all, I’ve learned that while we can’t always control the storms of life, we can choose how we respond to them.

This blog is an extension of my heart and my mission. It’s a space where I share the lessons I’ve learned from walking with men, studying scripture, and living life as a husband, father, and follower of Christ. It’s for men who are ready to rise above the noise, reclaim their God-given identity, and step boldly into their calling. My hope is to encourage, challenge, and inspire you as you seek to live with purpose and passion.

The buffalo is a powerful symbol of strength and resilience. Unlike other animals that run away from storms, the buffalo runs straight into and through them. That’s the kind of man I strive to be, and it’s the kind of men this world desperately needs. Men who face challenges head-on, make a way for others, and leave a legacy of courage, faith, and love.

Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” That abundant life isn’t found in chasing worldly success or running from trials. It’s found in stepping into the life God created you to live — a life marked by freedom, faith, and an unwavering commitment to what truly matters.

Let’s rise together. The storm may be fierce, but we were made to run through it.
